Caution using Direct tv or maybe even Green Dot card services.

Direct T.V as well as Green Dot cards. You be the judge!
If you have either one, now be warned !!!!

Today I deal with Direct t.v. that was cancelled months ago, only to find that they made twenty calls to my Greedot card in order to learn how much money was on the card. They then proceeded to take that money off my card without my permission. I called them and said that it was illegal what they were doing as I stated that the service was cancelled months ago as well boxes were as well returned. They said I owed that money and I said No I do not! They said you gave us permission to take it. I said maybe four months or so ago, but not today. They said prove it that you didn’t give us permission. They said by the way you still owe $28.95 for all the time it took us to find what we did. A lot more happened in between that call and it’s on a card that is now cancelled. But, no one on the card as it is in pending mode with Green dot. I called green dot this morning at 8-9 am this morning asking them not to pay the money. They said that they can not stop it, until it is taken from your card which will be in a day or so or later tonight or even next week because of the 1st of January New Years. I told green dot to listen to all the phone calls that they made to the card and she said yes, I can see there stealing and wanting to locate the amount. Then when they found it, they took it, I will cancel your card and send you a new one. It will arrive in ten days. What about my money. She said to call back after the pending charges are gone. That means they received the money then you can file a dispute. But, I am filing one now before they steal the money. A merchant can take any amount of money they wish and the customer has to prove they do not owe it. Even after four months and not trying till today and take everything when they learn how much you have. Yes, they can take any amount that they wish being a merchant. Isn’t it strange to you what was going on. Yes, but a merchant can take and you can’t dispute until after it’s taken. Here is the conversation as I can’t believe green dot allows stealing from merchants. Be careful people. Things really getting rough out there.

I did that early this morning, after calling them, and they just laughed and said prove you didn’t give us permission. I finally got to some upper management and they sent a note to e-mail there checking into it and may take up to ten days as well. I have mde no payments to them in four or more months and now they are allowed to steal by finding out by calling twenty times till they get the amount they want?

Give up Rights for Freedom?

The question is not whether certain rights should be surrendered, but which rights and to what degree. We are given the right to free speech, but the line is drawn when such a right is used to incite violence. The American Model of stability, in its basic form, is one in which certain rights are limited, but only those which would hinder the rights of another. What is absolutely essential in having a government which promotes stability by curbing certain liberties is persistent oversight on the part of the people. The only thing that protects man from the possible repression by the powers that be is vigilance. While we entered into a commonwealth so that through our collective resolve we would no longer have to dedicate our lives to protecting ourselves, so too must we collectively watch our government and make sure it remains a force for protection and stability.
I think that there are certain freedoms, held by human beings, that must not be violated. These freedoms include such things as life, liberty, and property. These individual liberties ought to take precedence over everyhting. There are instances where a government may, for just reasons, take these rights away. For example, if a person murders another, the government has a right and a duty to inflict due punishment on the aggressor. A government must take special care to make sure it exercises caution and does not violate these rights. In most cases, the government need not violate these rights for the sake of freedom.
I would like to point out a quote from Benjamin Franklin, “Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both. “
I just wanted to point out that one of the reasons the first ten amendments (aka Bill of Rights) were added to the constitution was to create stability within a recently freed America. To make sure the constitution would pass, the Bill of Rights were added, because having a constitution to govern the country was essential to it’s stability.
You can loosen some basic rights in order to increase security, but there is a line between permissible and unpermissible/too extreme. National security and civil liberties aren’t mutually exclusive or a zero sum game. I think we just need to find a balance between the two. You can have a stable and secure country while still having the rights of the citizens protected, it’s not one or the other.
All humans having perfect and absolute freedom is a type of utopian society. It is utterly perfect, as are other utopian societies, such as communism. But the simple fact is, humans are not utterly perfect, and therefore our various systems of government can’t be either, no matter how hard we try. Meanwhile, the systems we have, no matter what kind, are a messy, varying and imperfect arraignment between total freedom and total unity. Everyone, no matter where they live, have already given up some freedoms. Meanwhile, everyone, no matter where they, have already accepted some benefits of the community. There can never be total freedom, and there can’t ever be total unity, because of both are perfect, something humans will never be.
If it were the absolutely only way to gain freedom and peace, then yes giving up certain individual freedoms is worth the price. It goes along the same path as a team in a sport such as football. There are over 11 people on the team, yet you only see 11 on the field at any given time. Certain players had to give up their glory and fame to help make the team better on the weekdays, only to do virtually nothing on Sunday. This relates to the real world in that people are basically free to do whatever they please, yet there are always going to be limits. We do not have total freedom to kill whoever we want, because this would upset the system and mess with the peace. We give up our “natural rights” to do whatever we please in order to cooperate with those living with us. It is necessary; no society would operate with everyone doing whatever they pleased. To even form a sovereign, one must give up at least the basic right of self governance; but we do this for one goal: peace.
However, if each individual was free to do whatever pleases them, I wonder if it would turn into something along the lines of Hobbes’ state of nature. Each person would be on equal terms and could do what they please, but that might mean mass chaos. Mass chaos means there would be no safe or stable environment. So, rather than having that happen- i think individuals can sacrifice some rights for the common good.
First of all, I think it would be way too hard for a society like ours especially, to take away free speech and other personal liberties. People would rebel against the government and create the very opposite of a stable government. On the other hand, if you don’t take all of that into account, it’s interesting to try and figure out which would be the most effective way to create a stable government. If society were to get rid of personal liberties, everyone and everything would be the same and no one would stand out. It would be such a boring society. It might however be very stable. I don’t think that it would be worth taking away these liberties for a perfect stable government.
Patriot Act? What if and I know it’s not “if” but our own people government (c.i.a.) did plan for nine eleven. But then starting with Bush wanting to blame others in order to steal riches and drugs from other countries as well as trillions lost when the twin towers fell by our own government hands. Who received that money? Oh just a guess that it was well planned in advance and the pay days of those involved are long gone into the rich man’s world.
Look at those governments we placed in power around the world and just as easy took them down once they felt they had the control of the people and many have ended up being killed. Oh sure justice was served with the hanging courts as there served daily with our own American people. Look at those innocent lives taken by a just system. Hell, some won’t make it to get a hanging judge or jury and they were innocent all along. But, will be shot by a power ranger with a badge for anything considered a threat against them. Now, this is just coming out after years of murders being taken daily across the United States. Everyone best think how much so called freedom you wish to give up after all that in which you have given has restricted you from a lot. Think about it.

How to stop snoopers.. Easy as hell!

The closest you’re going to get on a typical home ISP link is to analyze the MAC addresses of your traffic, and if the gateway changes to something else it’s a sign that something has changed on the network. That could be an eavesdropper, or it could be a simple equipment changeout.

However, if the snooping is happening beyond the gateway even a sloppy snooper will remain undetected. Also, if the snooper is using a simple bridge rather than an attack based on ARP-spoofing, the only indication of their presence will be a slightly higher latency; slight enough it’ll hide in the statistical noise for most home broadband connections.

If the snooping is actually an intercept proxy of some kind (layer 5-7) instead of a network tap (L2), say sniffing all of your HTTP traffic but leaving the rest alone, there is a possibility that you can detect that by watching your HTTP headers. If their DNS settings are crappy you may find some sites unavailable that really should be.

And finally, stateful firewalls do exactly this kind of thing by design. Figuring out the difference between a stateful firewall and a snooper is very, very tricky.

In short, it is very hard to detect snoopers, even sloppy ones.
These tasks are relatively easy to carry out even for people without technical knowledge. If you’ve checked the installed programs and you’re still reasonably suspicious that someone is monitoring you (and it’s not the TV telling you so) then as a next step you can check the computer’s ports.
If you’re not technically proficient there’s no need to recoil in horror at running the rule over ports, it is reasonably straightforward. Ports are a virtual data connection in which computers share information directly, so if you’ve got spy software on your system, a port should be open to enable the data transfer.
You can check all the open ports by going to Start, Control Panel, and Windows Firewall. Then click on ‘Allow a program or feature through Windows Firewall’ on the left hand side of the box. This will open another box and you’ll see a list of programs with check boxes next to them.
The ones that are checked are ‘open’ and the unchecked or unlisted ones are ‘closed’. Go through the list and see if there is a program you’re not familiar with or one that matches VNC, remote control and so on, suggesting a spying program. If you do discover one, you can simply halt it in its tracks by unchecking the box; putting paid to the snooping misdeeds.
Telling you this because I am tired of this crap. So, if want to know then listen or read closely. To make it easy you can download a program which shows https://tcpview.en.softonic.com/?ex=TOP-544.3s all the TCP connections without you having to fiddle around. When you do this you’ll see a box which lists several columns. On the left side is the process name, which will be the programs running. You’ll see things like Mozilla Firefox (or the browser of your choice), BullGuard and other programs such as Microsoft Office and Skype.

Great old favorite kids cartoons!

Some of the old favorite cartoons, when I was a kid, but there banned from television stations now days. Hell, even some great eating places also banned. Just like back in the older days, as kids say today. Now, rebel flag banned, all sorts of things becoming banned. Why? because of people being so silly, and still crying like babies wanting their own way, so no one else can enjoy them. But, just because people are so inmature and wish something to never be seen again. Here’s and example. Ban everything you wish, books, moviea flags or even cartoons. But, they will still be around, and people like me will show them and people will continue to have copies sent all over the world just to protect what others don’t like. Enjoy these banned cartoons. They are great stilland even better than when I was a small kid!

Christmas & Science=Truth

Why is there a Christmas? 

Today is December 26, Day after Christmas . Why do so many people hold this day to be sacred? To understand spiritual truths it is sometimes necessary to first understand how physical truth are discovered and understood.

In science, cause and effect can be a helpful tool. Oftentimes a scientific truth is uncovered by observing the influence of an object that is unseen on objects that can be seen. Such was the case for the discovery of the planet Uranus. It was noted that some planets behaved in peculiar ways at certain times for no apparent reason. It was thought that the gravitational pull from an undiscovered planetary body was introducing a wobble in the orbits of these visible planets. This theory was proven true when Uranus was eventually located as a tiny speck of light in the far reaches of our solar system.
At one time germs were unknown because they lay beyond the ability of man to observe them. The learned men of that age did not believe in their existence. But their unbelief did not stop deadly germs from spreading horror across an entire continent. The Black Plague swept Europe leaving a historic wake of misery and death in its path. The truth about germs was not dependent upon the belief of anyone. Of a certainty, truth exists in its purest form regardless of belief.
So, why does truth frequently offend us? It is because of the very nature of truth, exclusive and absolute. The irrevocable nature of truth means that it is unchangeable and wholly independent of belief. It is not touchable, not suppressible, and will not forever stay hidden.
Truth is exclusive. That means it is narrow in scope because everything contrary to it is unacceptable. For example, people do not fill their automobile tanks with water. Nor do they jump from tall buildings as a shortcut to the street. We train our children to do what is right like looking both ways before crossing a street. We teach them what is wrong like running with a knife. We teach these truths so they can live safely. We easily recognize the narrowness of truth when it comes to the physical world. However, in the spiritual world the narrow nature of truth is not so easily accepted. Because of this it is sometimes labeled as narrow mindedness.

Mentioned above are examples of how the cause and effect principle can uncover truth in the physical world. But the same principle applies as well to the spiritual world because the physical is a shadow of the spiritual. A case in point is a solitary life lived long ago. We can know the truth of that life by the unprecedented effect it has had on the entire world. What follows is a summary of that life and the consequence it has had on us all, believers and unbelievers. The writing that follows was penned by an unknown author who sought neither gain nor glory.

One Solitary Life
There was a baby born in an obscure village, the child of a peasant girl. He grew to manhood in this rural country but little is known about his childhood. He worked in his stepfather’s woodworking shop until he was thirty. For three years he was an itinerant preacher. He never wrote a book. He never held office. He never owned a home. He never had a family. He never went to college. He never set foot inside a big city. He never traveled more than 200 miles from his birthplace. He had none of the credentials that usually accompany greatness. His only riches were contained within himself.
While still a young man, the tide of public opinion turned against him. His closest friends ran away and denied knowing him. He was betrayed to His enemies. He went through the mockery of a trial. He was nailed to a cross between two thieves. While He was dying His executioners gambled for the only property He had on earth, his coat. After death, his body was laid in a borrowed grave given through the pity of a friend.
Twenty centuries have now come and gone, and today this man is the central figure of the human race. Love for this man has inspired more treasures of art than for any other man. Adoration for him has been transformed into more songs of love and devotion than for any other. More books have been written about him than any other. The entire earth sets its calendar to mark the passage of years based upon his birth. A fledgling land built its foundation upon his teaching and grew to become the strongest, the most abundant, the most bountiful and generous nation in the history of mankind.
I am far within the mark when I say that all the armies that ever marched, all the navies that ever sailed, all the parliaments that ever sat, and all the kings that ever reigned, put together, have not affected mankind upon this earth as has this One Solitary Life. He is called Emmanuel, Jesus, The Christ, Son of God, Lamb of God, Creator, and Messiah. Hail to thee, O King of Kings.

Whether or not this is the actual date of his birth is unimportant because it is not the day that is receiving honor, but rather the fact that Christ was indeed born as foretold by prophets centuries before. Now, how I really feel about Christmas or any of those money tricks that this demo god society wants to call it, in order to take what money you can’t afford. Even giving you credit to push you even further into debt so you feel guilty and buy everyone what they want. This is my message and really how this seventy year old man feels. But, I will try to put all those nasty mean thoughts out of my head and say, one more day. Then back to normal. New years, hell this out fart will be asleep hopefully. If not just listen for the shot gun blasts as well as the other pistos I bought over the year thinking good we finally get to kill some people here in this country and don’t have to go and do it in other countries. Damn, hope it happens soon, as my list as well as address’ are ready. Then start up this walker and wheel chair and off to war. Many democrats on my list. A 44-year-old Arkansas woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash Friday night, state police said.

Jennie Lewis of Bella Vista was driving south on U.S. 62 about 10:45 p.m. in a Hyundai Elantra when she turned in front of Volvo semitruck that was headed west, according to a preliminary report.

State police said a passenger in the Elantra, Alfonso Gonzales, 42, of Rogers was injured in the wreck and taken to a local hospital.

Conditions at the time of the crash were reported to be clear but the roads were wet. Lewis’ death was the 531st on Arkansas roads in 2016, according to preliminary state police data.

U.S. rail traffic was down more than 11 percent from a year ago

We continue to get more evidence that the U.S. economy has entered a major
downturn. Just last week, I wrote about how U.S. GDP growth numbers have been
declining for three quarters in a row, and previously I wrote about how corporate
defaults have surged to their highest level since the last financial crisis. Well, now we
are getting some very depressing numbers from the rail industry. As you will see below,
U.S. rail traffic was down more than 11 percent from a year ago in April. That is an
absolutely catastrophic number, and the U.S. rail industry is feeling an enormous amount
of pain right now. This also tells us that “the real economy” is really slowing down
because less stuff is being shipped by rail all over the nation.
One of the economic commentators that I have really come to respect is Wolf Richter
of WolfStreet.com. He has a really sharp eye for what is really going on in the economy
and in the financial world, and I find myself quoting him more and more as time goes
by. If you have not checked out his site yet, I very much encourage you to do so.
On Wednesday, he posted a very alarming article about what is happening to our rail
industry. The kinds of numbers that we have been seeing recently are the kinds of
numbers that we would expect if an economic depression was starting. The following is
an excerpt from that article…
Total US rail traffic in April plunged 11.8% from a year ago, the Association of
American Railroads reported today. Carloads of bulk commodities such as coal, oil,
grains, and chemicals plummeted 16.1% to 944,339 units.

The coal industry is in a horrible condition and cannot compete with US natural gas at
current prices. Coal-fired power plants are being retired. Demand for steam coal is
plunging. Major US coal miners – even the largest one – are now bankrupt. So in April,
carloads of coal plummeted 40% from the already beaten-down levels a year ago.
Because rail traffic is down so dramatically, many operators have large numbers of
engines that are just sitting around collecting dust. In his article, Wolf Richter shared
photographs from Google Earth that show some of the 292 Union Pacific engines that
are sitting in the middle of the Arizona desert doing absolutely nothing. The following
is one of those photographs…

As Wolf Richter pointed out, it costs a lot of money for these engines to just sit there
doing nothing…
These engines are expensive pieces of equipment. When they just sit there, not
pulling trains, they become “overcapacity,” and they get very expensive. Then there are
engineers and other personnel who suddenly become unproductive. Some of them have
already been laid off or are getting laid off.
All over the world, similar numbers are coming in. For example, the Baltic Dry
Index fell 30 more points on Wednesday after falling 21 on Tuesday. Global trade is
really, really slowing down during the early portion of 2016. What this means on a
practical level is that a lot less stuff is being bought, sold and shipped around the planet.
It is becoming increasingly difficult for authorities to deny that a new global
recession has begun, and at this moment, we are only in the very early chapters of this
new crisis.
Another thing that I watch very closely is the velocity of money. When an economy
is healthy, people feel pretty good about things and money tends to circulate fairly
rapidly. For example, I may buy something from you, then you may buy something
from someone else, etc.
But when times get tough, people tend to hold on to their money more tightly, and
that is why the velocity of money goes down when recessions hit. In the chart below,
the shaded areas represent recessions, and you can see that the velocity of money has
declined during every single recession in the post-World War II era…

During the last recession, the velocity of money declined precipitously, and that
makes perfect sense. But then a funny thing happened. There was a slight bump up
once the recession was over, but then it turned down again and it has kept going down
ever since.
In fact, the velocity of money has now dropped to an all-time low. The velocity of
M2 just recently dipped below 1.5 for the first time ever.
This is not a sign of an “economic recovery”. What this tells us is that our economy
is very, very sick.
And we can see evidence of this sickness all around us. For instance, the Los
Angeles Times is reporting that homelessness in Los Angeles increased by 11 percent
last year, and this marked the fourth year in a row that homelessness in the city has
increased…
Homelessness rose 11% in the city of Los Angeles and 5.7% in the county last year
despite an intensive federal push that slashed the county ranks of homeless veterans by
nearly a third, according to a report released Wednesday.
The increase marks the fourth consecutive year of rising homelessness in L.A., as
local officials struggle to identify funding for billion-dollar plans they approved to solve
the nation’s most intractable homeless problem.
Let us also not forget that about half the country is basically flat broke at this point.
Just recently, the Federal Reserve found that 47 percent of all Americans could not
pay an unexpected $400 emergency room bill without selling something or borrowing
the money from somewhere.
With numbers such as these being reported, how in the world can anyone possibly
claim that the U.S. economy is in good shape?
It boggles the mind, and yet there are people out there that would actually have you
believe that everything is just fine.
The current occupant of the White House is one of them.
With each passing month, the real economy is getting even worse. We may not have
slipped into a full-blown economic depression just yet, but it is coming.

For now, let us be thankful for whatever remains of our debt-fueled prosperity because
we don’t deserve the massively inflated standard of living that we have been enjoying.
We have been consuming far more than we produce for decades, but it won’t last for
much longer. And when those days are gone for good, we will mourn them bitterly.
